Most of the time, natural essential oils (steam-distilled essential oils) are confused with synthetic essential oils: they are the same thing, but the two substances are very different from each other! Differences in these expressions will be discussed. Manufacturing method: Distilled essential or steam distilled essential oils are made from 100% natural materials. Essential oils are extracted from different parts of the plant such as flowers, herbs, or roots. These oils are pure extracts obtained through the process of steam distillation. These 100% pure oils are "clean", meaning they have not been treated in any way with solvents or other additives. These oils are difficult to reproduce artificially as they are made up of 50-500 different chemicals that are naturally present in the plant. Also, depending on the season or plant growing conditions, the chemical components of an essential oil may vary. Therefore, it is difficult for factories that produce natural essential oils to maintain the consistency of their final products. As for industrial essential oils, they are produced in the laboratory. One of the main benefits is that it is a non-changing scent. The final product has a static composition. There are two types of synthetic essential oils: • Synthetic Essential Oils • Semi-Natural Essential Oils There is a big difference between these two types of essential oils. Synthetic fragrance oils are artificially manufactured from chemical compounds not found in nature. Often, it consists of petroleum by-products, which makes it much cheaper to manufacture and sell. Many cheaper commercial scented products are created using these methods. Semi-natural essential or perfume oils are also made in a laboratory but are made by isolating natural aromatic components from their complex scent. And then installed again to produce the desired fragrance or oil. There is still debate as to whether semi-natural essential oils are truly natural. It is mixed from a natural plant, but it is made up of science and man-made efforts. Which of them has more health benefits? Essential oils have many uses in aromatherapy, also to help with skin problems, and in flavoring. The reason for using essential oils is that they are used to soften the skin and hair and moisturize. Essential oils can also be taken internally if they are diluted while synthetic essential oils cannot be taken. Most synthetic essential oils do not provide the same health benefits as natural essential oils, because they are designed solely for the purpose of their scent. Natural essential oils are complex and essential oils are made with more than just their aromatic components, which is why they are so hard to copy
